Space is indeed the “final frontier” and even though man has exhausted his exploration of the moon, we are still trying to reach beyond this realm and go further than we ever have before. Scientists are now wondering what is on the icy moon of Jupiter’s Europa and are working towards building a robot that can find out.
As we grow in technology we have now been able to probe Mars to find out what really lies among the red dust and dirt of the 4th planet from the sun. Could there have been life on this Martian rock? With 70,000 images beamed back from the rover aptly named, Curiosity, scientists are anxiously discussing the possibilities.
However, this still isn’t enough. We want to know what is in the heavens above and beyond, so on April 24,1990 the Hubble telescope was launched into space from the space shuttle, Discover. This ingenious piece of equipment is 43.5 feet long (13.2 meters), 14 feet wide (4.2 meters) and weighs a whopping 24,500 pounds (11,113 kilograms)! And it only cost 2.5 billion dollars!

Children’s Book About Dinosaurs: A Kids Picture Book About Dinosaurs with Photos and Fun Facts
We have always heard there were dinosaurs roaming the earth millions of years ago. These mighty beasts were bigger than houses and had an appetite to make Jabba the Hut pale by comparison.
The word dinosaur means terrible lizard in Greek. But strangely enough the man who named it in 1842 (Richard Owen a Paleontologist) was referring to their massive size, not their scary nature. However, they are both big and intimidating. And despite scientists wanting to clone these beasts today we should perhaps be glad a mass extinction wiped them out 65 million years ago. Can you imagine sharing the planet with a T-Rex?
not all of these animals were out to eat whatever got into their way, take the Brachiosaurus for example. This dinosaur measured in at 85 feet long (26 meters) and stood 50 feet tall (16 meters). It was purely an herbivore yet still managed to weigh in at 10,000 pounds (4,535 kilograms). That’s right. It would pluck the leaves from the very tops of the tall trees using its 52 chisel-like teeth.

I bet you didn’t know there are over 43,000 different types of spiders, in 109 different families and they live in every part of the world, except the Antarctic? Plus, studies show that we are never more than 10 feet (3 meters) away from a spider at any given time.
This is probably not good news if you suffer from Arachnophobia or if you just think they are creepy. However, despite our reactions to these eight-legged creatures, they can be quite fascinating. Check out these facts you may not know about the spider.
The spider is not a bug or an insect, but rather an arachnid. What’s the difference? Spiders are made up of two body sections. The front part is technically called the, Cephalothorax and is where you will find its brain, eyes, fangs, mouth and oddly enough its stomach. The second part if the abdomen and is where the spider releases its silk from.
Spiders come in various sizes from small to large. The biggest one that has been found to date is the Goliath Bird-Eating Spider – yes it is large enough to take down a bird. Think personal pan […]

China or the People’s Republic of China (PRC) is in East Asia and has the highest population in the world at 1.35 billion people! Its land mass covers approximately 5.9 million square miles (9.6 million kilometers), making it the second largest country in the world, next to Russia. It is broken up into 22 provinces.
From her plateaus, mountains, seas and waters, China has a broad range of geographical beauty. If you travel to the eastern and southern half of the country, you will be charmed by the seacoast with many offshore islands. This region supplies the area with most of the agriculture and human population with fertile lowlands and graceful foothills.
Asia and a part of China is also home to the Gobi desert. It is the fifth largest desert in the world and Asia’s biggest. This landmass covers approximately 500,000 square miles and is made up of sandy areas as well as exposed flat rock. Creating a rain shadow on the Gobi are the Himalayan Mountains. Due to its rough conditions few animals call Gobi home. The Bactrian camel, snow leopard, Gobi bear and various other species can tolerate this region.
